Built around durable scores

A composing workspace with a score at the center.

Music Orchestrator is being built as a professional Mac app for composers, arrangers, educators, copyists, and musicians who need native documents, readable output, and open exchange paths.

Semantic score documents

Native .orchestra files keep musical meaning separate from layout so scores can grow through editing, engraving, playback preparation, and export.

Mac-native composing desk

Document-based macOS workflows, setup templates, score metadata, and sandbox-friendly file access are built into the app foundation.

Honest interchange

Scoped MusicXML and Standard MIDI import/export paths report unsupported data instead of pretending every external file maps perfectly.

Current product shape

From setup to export without treating notation as decoration.

  1. Start from a blank score, setup wizard, MusicXML, MIDI, or an existing .orchestra document.
  2. Edit score metadata, instrumentation, notes, voices, articulations, lyrics, chord symbols, rehearsal marks, and supported layout controls.
  3. Prepare deterministic playback events, export supported score data, and render PDF output from the engraving layout foundation.

Clear scope

Public claims match the implementation path.

The first public site is App Store-safe and intentionally careful: it describes the implemented foundations and avoids broad compatibility or playback claims until those systems ship.
